On our way back to home, we missed our flight at Helsinki airport. So, we received a free night at Helsinki from Finnair. This Finland capital is close to Arctic Circle. You can see Aurora Borealis here. After the baking hot Italy, we came to our cool, cool summer palace, Helsinki.
We took a half an hour train from the airport to the city center, Helsingfors. A lot of attractions around Helsingfors, the market, the Fisherman’s Wharf, the churches. We ate at a special marketplace called Market Square. This was where we ate Reindeer Burger and Moose Meat Pie. There is the viking line at the Fisherman’s Wharf.

On the train to city center, we quickly searched what we should visit. Evangelical Lutheran Church ranks number 1. So, here we come! It is a whole big white church, with its tall green dome surrounded by four smaller domes. The building is in the neoclassical style. It was also known as St Nicholas' Church until the independence of Finland in 1917. There is an Exhibition about the army of Finland and all kinds of tanks. It was really cool to see all those tanks.

We went to Market Square. We saw a little castle and walked around. My brother complained about being hungry, so we explored the market. Luckily, we found something we never tried before, reindeer burger and moose meat pie.

We walked a long way from Market Square to the church. The Rock Church was really cool. It looks like a UFO from its outside, with a lot of rock piles. This was made by blasting dynamite. It was unique. Unfortunately, the church was closed at 6 pm. We cannot get in to see its inside.

Helsinki was really cool for its location. It was great to end my entire trip to Italy with this extra adventure. Evangelical Lutheran Church was grand. The Market Square was good with yummy reindeer food. The Rock Church was cool for its unique shape and rock formation. The summer day time of Helsinki was really long. Its sunset was at 11 pm in the evening! I liked this trip.
