Piazza Della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo
~ Gordon
I feel sad that this was the last day of Florence. We had to say goodbye to the beautiful Florence after staying for 3 days. It was really good as we saw a lot of scenes, like Piazzale Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, and even Piazza della Signoria again!
It was really good for the Fact that we went to Piazza della Signoria. There were a lot of statues of many varieties, the Michelangelo’s David, the Perseus killing Medusa and even 2 statue lions playing with balls. Also, there is Hercules fighting Cacus.

Ponte Vecchio, the old bridge, has a lot of Shops covering it, from Michelangelo Brand Belts, to fine jewelry, and also the special Medici secret path on its top floor that is still visible today.
Cross Ponte Vechio, we arrived at Piazzale Michelangelo. This piazza was designed by architect Giuseppe Poggi and built in 1869. It is located on a hill just south of the Arno River. From its name, I can tell it was built to commemorate Michelangelo. In the center of the piazza, a bronze cast sculpture of David stands in the middle, together with bronze cast of his famous Dusk and Dawn, Day and Night. Sat on the stairs with crowds, and enjoyed music (violin and pop music). It is wonderful to have a beautiful view of the whole city of Florence, the Arno River, Ponte Vecchio, and most important, the dome of the Florence Duomo.
Florence was really good to end my trip to Italy. I liked the statues at Piazza Signoria as they were made by really cool sculptors. The Ponte Vecchio was also amazing with so many shops and the secret path for the Medici. The Piazzale Michelangelo was really cool as it had bronze cast of Michelangelo’s signature statues, and a grand view of the city. My last day of Florence is the best!
