We
first arrived at the Incheon Airport at about 6:00 pm from our flight. Then we
took the metro all the way to Dongdaemun History and Culture Park. When we get
off, the street is lit up with bright lights, filled with many fluorescent
colors of all kinds. If you want to count how many buildings have lights, along
with shops stuffed with travelers waiting for their turn to buy things, I can
tell you the answer right way, a huge number.

Dongdaemun is a very famous
shopping and advertising area, with many famous duty-free stores. Did you
know a fact about duty-free shops in Korea? People bring huge suitcases to fill
with the items they buy. You can imagine how many things they bought and
stuffed in there!

Dongdaemun History and Culture Park

Around the curb, there
was Dongdaemun History and Culture Park. The ancient city wall at park is supremely high,
and here is a recommendation. Walk along the city wall all the way to the
front, turn left. Walk forward a little more, turn left again. This park is not
only from the ancient times, but also illuminated by many beautiful decorations
called LED Rose Garden. You should see a blanket of white roses. If you do not,
then you should keep on walking forward. If possible, you should go at
twilight. This is when the roses get the color of yellow, and they look good.
These roses are not real, but they are better then real. The LED roses will
never fade. The LED lights make them bright. The LED Rose Garden is supremely
beautiful at night. There is also a stone archway that you cannot touch. This
is from the ancient times, so it is valuable.
We went on a stroll, and found
so many interesting things, such as rice sausages, which are things like
sausages made of rice. It also has a pair with pig liver. The Korean style buns
were yummy. They were stuffing with cheese, Kimchi, and veggie salad.
We did so many things at Dongdaemun today. The metro was quick, and complicated with so many exits. Did you
know that there are 9-12 exits to get out of each metro station? Don’t get
stuck in the wrong exit! The duty-free shops were all humongous, about 7-8
stories high! The Korean Park was cool and giant. The night at Seoul is so
pretty!
