My 2nd day in Seoul was very amazing. The Dongdaemun Gate was pretty. I visited the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. The surrounding Dongdaemun Market had many shops and food stores around Dongdaemun. I wish this day never ended!

The Dongdaemun Gate is a very famous gate. It was first built in 1398, renovated in 1453, and finally rebuilt in 1869. The surrounding garden gives the gate a peaceful look. There are LED roses mixed in with the grass and trees in the garden. A museum besides the gate gives interesting information about this gate.

The Dongdaemun Design Plaza was very beautiful. It had all sorts of metal statues around its rim. The inside houses a few subway stations, making it one of the most visited places in Seoul. The plaza has twisted metal walls, giving it a cool look. There is also no roof, giving everyone in the plaza a clear view of the Dongdaemun Market.

There are numerous kinds of food and shops around the Dongdaemun Gate. One such example is the spicy fish tofu. The spicy rice cake also is a classical Korean dish. Vendors around the Dongdaemun Gate also sell Korean rice sausage, a special Korean sausage made with rice and other ingredients. Numerous clothing shops can also be found near the gate. An infamous duty-free shop called Doota resides close to the plaza and the gate.

This second day in Seoul was excellent. The Dongdaemun Gate has lots of ancient history. The Dongdaemun Design Plaza is a landmark right beside the gate. The Dongdaemun Market is one of the most popular markets in all of Seoul. This was one of the best days I ever had!
