My first day in Yosemite was very fun. The scenery of Yosemite during the winter was beautiful. I hiked up the Mist Trail. The Majestic Hotel was wonderful. This was an excellent day in Yosemite.

Many things were covered in snow during the winter. Half Dome was partially white because of the snow. However, not much snow fell in Yosemite compared to the past few years. Many famous landmarks of Yosemite had some snow on them. Even the waterfalls had snow at their bases!

The Mist Trail is a narrow trail going up right next to the Vernal Falls. It is rather steep, but it is not that hard to climb up. From the top of the trail, you can see all the ice and snow at the base of the Vernal Falls. However, there was no mist or water running down the steps, like during the summer. Instead, it was just a hike up a slightly steep trail next to a waterfall.

Majestic Yosemite Hotel

The Majestic Hotel has an amazing history. It was first intended to bring rich and fancy people to Yosemite National Park, and now it is a National Historic Landmark! It is probably one of the most famous things in Yosemite National Park. It is nice and cozy inside.

This was a fantastic day in Yosemite. The winter scenery of Yosemite National Park was very pretty. The Mist Trail was a good trail to hike up. The Majestic Hotel was a stupendous place. I wish this day had never ended!
