Beihai was a very fun place. The seashore was full of sea life. The Old Street has an interesting history. Our dinner in Beihai was also nice. This was an awesome day.

The seashore was just at low tide when we got there. While we were digging a hole, we discovered a small crab! However, the small crab still hurt when it pinched my finger. We also discovered some other stuff, a small clam, a piece of jellyfish, a conch shell, pieces of dead crabs, more shells, and a crab that still walked despite losing one of its pincers! The sculpture beside the seashore was also beautiful. It consisted of people holding hands around a sphere that probably represented the ocean.

The Beihai Old Street was built all the way back in 1883, and is infamous for its architectural style. It was once a very popular trading street. However, a city began offering no tax on its goods, and quickly became popular. The entire street is roughly just 1.5 kilometers long. Another reason the street is famous is because of the Qing Dynasty post office right at its end, which is no longer in use.

We ate a great dinner in Beihai. We ate boiled clams, with flavorful sauce. There was also delectable peanut worms. Fish head and tail soup had a fantastic flavor. The fish itself was also terrifically cooked.

Beihai was an excellent place. The seashore had many unexpected surprises under a layer of sand. The Old Street is still a popular tourist destination today! The dinner in Beihai had many of the famous dishes of Beihai . I wish I could experience this day again and again!
