This second day in Yosemite was exciting. I hiked through the Mirror Lake trail. The Yosemite Falls were awesome during the winter. The Bridalveil Falls looked excellent during the winter. This was a wonderful day in Yosemite.

The Mirror Lake trail was covered with ice during the morning. Mirror Lake was so covered with ice that we couldn’t even see a reflection from its water! The ice was also thick enough to support my weight standing on it with 1 foot. We spent a lot of time grabbing pieces of ice and throwing against rocks, or trying to skip them. However, the scenery of Mirror Lake did not change much. It was still beautiful as always.

The Yosemite Falls is very easy to hike to. During the winter, Yosemite Falls is not very strong. Many people climbed large rocks to get close to Yosemite Falls. Commonly, a river is formed by the falls flowing down all the rocks, but there is no such river during the winter. If you want to see the Upper Falls up close, you need to climb a much longer trail to do so.

Bridalveil Falls

The Bridalveil Falls looked very nice from a distance. The top of the waterfall had a layer of ice. This made the flow of water look even more pretty. The flow of the water was light enough to be blown along with the wind. Along the way, the fall split into 2 because of a large rock jutting out.

This was a fabulous day in Yosemite. The Mirror Lake trail was fantastic. The winter view of the Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls was terrific. The Bridalveil Falls was great. Yosemite was a fascinating place to spend Christmas at.
