Yosemite was fun on the second day. We had a lot of fun at the loop of the Lower Yosemite Falls, walking along Mirror Lake Loop Trail, and a short trail to the bottom of Bridalveil falls. They were all fun and nice to see. Too bad Glacier Point was closed for the winter.

Mirror Lake loop trail

In the morning, we started our journey at the mirror trail loop together with the boy scouts troop. At the Mirror Lake, there was a lot of thick ice. We had so much fun with the ice. With the sharp point walking sticks, kids were still not able to break it. It could even support my brother who is over 100 pounds! That shows how strong ice is! The trail was long, 5 miles, and took us about 3 hours to complete. Not like Mist Trail on the first day, this trail was very easy and relaxing.

The Yosemite Falls were nice, and huge. They split into 2 parts, lower and upper. We visited Lower Yosemite Falls this time. The water from this winter was less than the summer. So, people climbed on rocks to the bottom of the falls. Of course, you cannot see this kind of view in the summer. I wanted to climb the rock as well. But our time was limited. So, we headed to our stop, the Bridalveil Fall.

Bridalveil Falls is interesting, with a cool story. Because the waterfalls never move backward, people believe there is a spirit. If you exit the valley looking directly at the waterfalls, you are cursed. If you inhale the mist, you have a higher chance of getting married.

Yosemite was cool, and had some interesting history. I enjoyed this trip a lot, and learned a lot too. It’s always fun at Mirror lake trail, Yosemite falls, and Bridalveil Falls!
