Shanghai - ChengHuang Temple 上海城隍庙,豫园

6/15/2014 Shanghai, Chenghuang Temple (城隍庙)

Aaron:

Chenghuang Temple
Chenghuang Temple is a famous Shanghai style dim sum street. When we entered, we saw some traditional Chinese lanterns on traditional Chinese buildings.

We walked a bit further on when we decided to take a snack. It tasted delicious. We continued to walk until we reached a restaurant. We went in and ordered a circle of food like chow mein, Shanghai little wontons, and spring rolls. We even ordered a steamed bun in which there was a straw in it to suck the soup in it. I ate it all up after there was no more soup inside. When we finished, we took a few pictures of a large model of the steamed bun which had a straw.

pond
We saw lots of koi in a pond. There were even fountains. Chenghuang Temple was fun.

Gordon:

We went to Chenghuang Temple at late morning. Yu Yuan is a beautiful garden with lots of delicious food at there. My favorite food is steam bun (小笼包) also called Shanghai Xiao Man Tao. It has meat and crab eggs inside. It is very delicious and I like it a lot.

Guan Tang Bao

The most interesting thing is Guan Tang Bao. It only has hot soup inside without any meat. You use a straw to sip the soup slowly.

pond
In the garden, there is a pond with a lot of lotus in it. There are fish and turtles swimming freely in the pond. I enjoyed the tasty dishes and the pretty garden. I is so cool. I wish we could go again.
