Beijing - Natural History Museum 北京自然博物馆

6/11/2014 Beijing, Natural History Museum (自然博物馆)

entrance

Aaron:

We went to visit the Natural Museum. There were lots of fossils and a few were still embedded in rocked. When we first entered we saw a Yangchuanosaurus trying to eat a stegosaur. I think the Yangchuanosaurus was going to win if they were alive, not fossils. We went up stairs and saw different dino’s eggs and even the best-preserved fossil eggs.

After we went down we took a picture of me on a dino foot.

Then, we went to Dino Park in which there were life-sized model of dinos that moved in place. There were lots of different kinds of them like Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, and pterosaurs.

Huang He mammoth fossils
We continued on to the mammal part where there were only mammal fossils. We got a guide to show us everything in there from the Yellow River Mammoth to ancient  boars. The guide told us things, asked questions, and gave us stickers if we answered correctly. I got the most. The Natural Museum was great.

Gordon:

dino park
Natural Museum was fun. It was splitted into 2 halls. One is reptile, the other is mammals. There were T. Rex and Stegosaurus fossil in the reptile hall. There was a dino park with “live” dinos roaring and moving in the park. The mammal hall has a lot of fossils, like rhino, giraffe, pig, horse, etc. There was even a large saber tooth tiger and yellow river mammoth. Natural museum is very interesting.
