Lijiang Ancient Town getting ready for the night

Lijiang is a very relaxing city with full of yummy things. Why not go and check it out? I can give you a tour.

Touch the water

Lijiang Ancient Town,
busy at night
We went to Lijiang Ancient Town. Lijiang Ancient Town is famous for the full street of local Chinese style building structure, small stores and restaurants one after another. Come visit at the night. The crowd started to fill the town after sunset, and till midnight. People call it Sleepless Lijiang.

The wall carving

The huge waterwheel
At the entrance we saw a wall carving. The wall looked very old so it may have been the original. It looked like one of their ancient people. The amazing huge waterwheel was made of wood but helped the water flow. There is a river running beside you. That's the water from the water wheel.

A little hiking
on the hills of
Lijiang Ancient Town
The Square Street
Lijiang Ancient Town is like a city built along the hills. We walked along the pathway. That included a little bit of hiking. The Square Street is the most popular street among all others.  The yummy food are everywhere. The attractive smell made me very hungry. We saw fried tofu. It looked like my favorite kind. Sad thing, mom said it was too hot and spicy that I didn't get it. We had a little snack which was a plain flavored patty. We had some mild flavored chicken. It was a good thing that it came with a drink. I didn't think it was mild, it was very spicy.

A drum store
selling music CDs

The Mu Mansion
We went to a place called Mu Mansion. It used to be the Mu home, who was in charge of Lijiang. Now, his residence is open for the public to see. It looks very fancy. People sell their musical cd here. Some were very smart and connected their phone to a tv So people could hear the song better.

Night of Lijiang Ancient Town

Lijiang is awesome and good for history lovers. Why not go visit there.
