The Lijiang City is very fun. It has the awesome Lijiang Ancient City. It also contains lots of delicious food, like fermented beef and salmon. The Shuhe Ancient Town includes fabulous things to do and yummy foods as well.

Lijiang Ancient City has many places to visit. Mu's Mansion （木府） was once the resident and working site of the Naxi rulers of Lijiang in the ancient times. Their family name 'Mu' was granted by the first Emperor of Ming Dynasty in 1378. The Square Market （四方街） sells many things. In Lijiang, the Square Market was built before the construction of the whole town! The Wanzi Bridge （万子桥） is the most important link between 2 rivers. The Big Waterwheels （大水车） are very large and one of the busier entrances to the city. After climbing many stairs up, we found a place to view the entire Lijiang city.

The Shuhe Ancient Town （束河古镇） is an important part of Lijiang along the Tea Horse Road. It is located at the foothills of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (玉龙雪山). It is a well preserved old town and is one of the earliest settlements of the Naxi ancestors (纳西族人). A whole street of food was in this city. There was even some roasted bug kabobs on sale!

The Lijiang food was very tasty. We ate a hot pot. Some of our ingredients were fermented beef, cabbage, and goat meat with skin. Inside the Lijiang Ancient City, we ate fried squid and pork. Our meal also consisted of pieces of pork breast and 2 drinks.

Lijiang had lots of cool things. The Lijiang Ancient City looks very beautiful at night. Many colorful lights are lit to show the way. Flavorful food and drinks can be bought here. Lijiang is an excellent place.
