the museum
The Beijing Museum of National History was full of interesting facts. It has many different exhibits and features many artifacts from the history of China. This place contains things from over 1 million 7 hundred thousand years ago to the year 1949 when the People’s Republic of China was founded. They have some recent findings also displayed. We visited many of these exhibits, but I thought a few were excellent.

The Ancient China Exhibit contains wonderful things from the Chinese History. It starts in the Lower Paleothic Period to the end of the Qing Dynasty. One main reason this gallery is famous is because of the Yuanmou Man’s 元谋人 teeth. Many of the museum’s top treasures are also located inside. Tang three colors, a jade outfit sewn with gold string, and a vessel with 4 ram heads are all special to this exhibit only.

The exhibit Ancient Chinese money was awesome. It displays over 1,700 objects. Some of these include cowrie shells, knife-shaped coins, round coins, coins with a square hole in the middle that were in use for over 2,000 years, and machine-made copper or silver coins of the late Qing period. A few sheets of paper money are also shown in this place.

The Ancient Chinese Jades were fabulous. They are used as objects giving good luck and happiness. Over 80,000 ancient Chinese jades are in the museum’s collections. They can be from prehistoric times to the recent Qing Dynasty.

Entrance of the museum
The Beijing Museum of National History is a fantastic place to visit. The Ancient China Exhibit is about the 3,000 years of Chinese history. Learning about the ancient Chinese currencies was nice. All the works of jade inside the Ancient Chinese Jades were very beautiful. I hope you enjoyed this blog about our trip to China.
