Take a look at what's new at our blog: our amazing trip to the east coast!!!!!
Boston is a perfect place to relax and have fun. At Boston Common, the Freedom Trail starts. Just follow the red brick line and lets pick up clues from the past. The Boston new State House dome is covered with pure gold. People started to build the new State House from 1795-1798. The dome was originally made by wood, but there was always holes, so the Paul Revere's Revere copper company gave them copper for the dome. But then the copper turned green, nobody wanted a green dome so they turned it into a pure gold dome. That dome itself is more then $3,000,000. Boston Duck Tours were once used in the military at World War II. They were used because they had the ability to go on both land and water. Boston is amazing!!!
New York, the Empire State is great. The Natural History Museum gives you cool knowledge. The free Staten Island Ferry give you an idea of how big the Statue of Liberty is. It is 309 feet high(93 meters)! The Staten Island Ferry is only 100 meters away from the Statue of Liberty. Brooklyn Bridge was made in 1883. It still stand good as new. Last but not least: ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER!!!!! As high as 102 floors, it stand proudly reminds people of the 9/11 tragedy that happened in September 9th, 2001. Sony Wonder Technology lab is great! Video games, robots, if you have a child, I'd recommend you go there.
Philadelphia is great! University of Pennsylvania, American nation's first university, is in the top ten universities. The liberty bell has a crack because of the mix of metal. It weighs more than 2,000 pounds. the Liberty Bell stands for liberty and independence to all!!!At Independence hall, the rising sun chair is where general George Washington sat. There is a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The U.S. Mint is fabulous. If you owned it, you'd be rich. The U.S. Mint makes the best coins ever!
John Witherspoon as a representative of New Jersey the only college president to sign the Declaration of Independence. |
Princeton is beautiful and great. It is very famous. Albert Einstein worked here as a guest professor. He won a Noble Prize for Physics! Princeton is wonderful for technology! New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure is awesome. It has crazy ride everywhere you look! But you can't miss this one: KING DA KA, world tallest and 2nd fastest roller coaster in the whole world!!!
Niagara Falls is majestic at night time. Lights, laser beam light up the night sky. There are fireworks only on Friday and Sunday nights! The Hornblower boat lets you feel how strong the American Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls is. Journey behind the falls (Cave of the Winds) is unforgettable. You switch your shoes to their special shoes, grab your water-proof coat. Now, get ready to get extremely wet!!! (P.S. Don't worry if you get wet, I call it a free shower!)
Washington D.C., the Nation's Capital, is great! Washington Monument may have been cracked, but the love in it and the person it respects never cracks. The White House beautifully sculptured is where every president has lived except for George Washington, America's first president. The outstanding Library of Congress is world's largest Library. The Capitol Building is fantastic. There's a humongous Freedom Goddess statue on the top. Ford Theater, the sorrowful place where President Lincoln dead, is where people respect Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States of America.
Guess how many states we crossed in all this summer? 18 states!!! Our trip was the BEST trip ever in our whole life so far!
