New York
~ Aaron
New York has lots of wonderful things. The cool Statue of Liberty is the symbol of New York. Many famous skyscrapers crowds in Manhattan island. Among them, the new Freedom Tower is the one I eager to be on. Times Square is sometimes called the "Crossroads of the World" and the "Heart of the World". The United Nations Headquarters is where people work together for world peace. In the middle of a busy Manhattan, walking through Central Park (1/17 of Manhattan) is such a relaxing moment. The awesome Museum of Natural History and excellent Metropolitan Museum of Art are found in Central Park too.
Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty is really interesting. It is an American symbol of freedom. It is also one of New York City's most popular tourist attractions, having over 3 million visitors annually. It's cool to see the Statue and see just how large it is. We had a close up look at the Statue of Liberty from the Staten Island Ferry. A very popular place to visit is the Statue of Liberty.

Brooklyn Bridge
We enjoyed a nice walk on the Brooklyn bridge. It connected the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River from 1883. At the time it was built, the 3,460-foot Brooklyn Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world. Since it opened, it was a landmark of New York City, and was a National Historic Landmark in 1964 and a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1972.

New York Public Library and Bryant Park
I was amazed by the beautiful architecture. My brother and I took a picture with a portrait of George Washington! The library holds one of the world's largest and most comprehensive collections of things. Books, maps, CDs, and videos are part of the 52 million item collection. Special collections include art, photos, and rare books. Passed New York Public Library, we arrived at Bryant park right behind it. If you are lucky enough, catch one of the free concerts (3 times a month during summer). Listening to a concert while enjoying the beautiful night of New York would be a wonderful thing. Bryant Park is such a nice little place.

Wall Street is 0.7 miles long street, going from Broadway to South Street. Over time, Wall Street became very famous. Supported by Wall Street, New York City has been called both the most powerful city and the highest financial center of the world.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York |
When we visited the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, it was closed so we couldn't go inside. We couldn't see the gold vault, trading desk, and a multimedia trading exhibit in the 1924 building. A tour would've given great facts about what the Federal Reserve Bank does. I think the inside is very beautiful.

The view of New York City from the top of the Empire State Building is very beautiful. The Empire State Building is such a famous New York City attraction that nearly 4 million visitors visit each year just for the wonderful views of New York City and the surrounding area. The lobby is very beautiful too.

We passed Alice in Wonderland and the Belvedere Castle. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is inside Central Park along with the Museum of Natural History. Central Park has lots of wonderful tourist attractions.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
The Metropolitan Museum of Art has over 2 million paintings and sculptures from around the world. The Metropolitan is very large and famous. The museum has over 6 million visitors every year. The museum is famous for its ancient Egypt collections. I like the cool Metropolitan Museum of Art.
